UAE - Nationwide awareness launched on H1N1
The Ministry of Health launched on Wednesday a nationwide campaign to educate members of the public about the H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu).
Dr Ali Bin Shukr, Chairman of the Technical Health Committee on Combating Swine Flu, urged the public not to panic should any H1N1 Flu case appear in any place of the world as measures to handle such a situation had proven efficient in treating the disease.
He said a joint working team from the ministry and health authorities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai would give nationals and residents tips on preventive and curative measures of the virus.
He appealed to the public to observe instructions issued by the ministry and report any suspicious case to enable the ministry take precautionary measures on time.
The drive will feature health awareness messages and programmes by professionals through audio-visual and print media.
